By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do
not use the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing or using Bible Affirmations (the “Application”), you
accept and agree to be bound by these Terms. When using particular features within the
Application, you are also subject to any posted guidelines applicable to those features.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority in your region if that is higher,
to use the Application. If you are under that age, you may use it only with verifiable consent
from a parent or guardian.
3. Description of Service
The Application provides Bible verses, affirmations, reflections and prayer prompts,
organised into categories for different seasons of life, along with home screen and lock
screen widgets, reminders, guided Selah breathing sessions, read-aloud playback, optional
photo backgrounds and sharing tools. It offers both free and premium subscription features.
4. Your Information
- The Application has no accounts and no passwords. Your chosen categories, favourites,
theme, reminder times and language are stored on your device.
- You are responsible for any activity arising from your use of the Application.
5. Data and Privacy
- Verses and affirmations ship inside the Application and are matched on your device. No
part of the Application sends what you read, choose or favourite to us or to any AI service.
- Analytics and subscription validation involve third-party processors.
Optional photo backgrounds are fetched through our own backend.

6. Subscriptions and Billing
- Premium features are offered as auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple’s App
Store and are handled by Apple. Pricing and terms are shown at the time of purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end
of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the
end of that period, at the same price.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled under
Apple’s policies. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a
subscription.
- If entitlement verification fails, for example because of a network problem, premium
access may be temporarily unavailable until validation succeeds.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Application for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, scrape or redistribute the Application, or access
our backend other than through the Application itself.
- Use the Application in any way that could damage or impair its functionality.
8. Content and Accuracy
- Bible verses are quoted from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), which is freely available
for use without restriction.
- Affirmations, reflections and prayer prompts are written and reviewed in advance and
ship inside the Application. They are devotional material, not translation, exegesis or
doctrine, and they are offered for encouragement rather than as authoritative teaching.
- The Application does not provide professional theological, psychological or medical
advice. Please consult a pastor, counsellor or doctor as appropriate.
- The Application is not a crisis service. If you are in danger or
considering harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line
immediately.
- Guided breathing sessions are a relaxation aid, not a medical treatment. If you have a
respiratory, cardiac or anxiety condition, speak with your doctor before using them.
9. Notifications and Device Permissions
- Local notifications are used for the reminders you set. They are scheduled on your
device and you can disable them in your device settings at any time.
- Widgets read content already stored on your device.
- Sharing a verse uses the standard iOS share sheet, which hands the image to whichever
app you pick.
10. Third-Party Services
The Application integrates with Firebase (Analytics and Remote Config) and
RevenueCat for subscription validation, and fetches optional photo backgrounds from Unsplash
through our own backend. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy
practices where applicable.
11. Intellectual Property
All content, design and code within the Application, excluding the Bible text itself, are
the intellectual property of the developer or its licensors and are protected by copyright,
trademark and other intellectual property laws. Photo backgrounds are supplied by Unsplash and
remain subject to the Unsplash License. You may share verse images created in the Application
for personal, non-commercial use.
12. Termination
- We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or misuse of the
service.
- You may stop using the Application at any time. Deleting the app does not cancel
a subscription. Cancel it in your Apple ID settings.
13. Disclaimers
The Application is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or
implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or reliability. We do not
warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental,
special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill,
arising from your use of the Application.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of your country or state of residence, except where
preempted by mandatory local law.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app
or in the update notes. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
