God wakes me up, morning by morning, to listen.

A Bible affirmation for your morning, rooted in Isaiah 50:4.

The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of discipleship, to sustain the weary with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning; He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple.

Isaiah 50:4 · BSB

Reflection

Isaiah describes the Lord's Servant being awakened each morning to listen, so He can sustain the weary with a word. Morning listening isn't only for you. It's how you get words that help someone else.

A prayer

Lord, wake my ear to listen this morning. Give me a word for someone who's weary.
