Paul's word for rule was used for an umpire making the final call in a game. When your heart is torn between two reactions, let the peace of Christ decide. And be thankful, he adds. Gratitude helps peace win.

Lord, let Your peace be the umpire in my heart today. Help me choose what You'd choose.
