Reflection

Psalm 29 describes God's voice in a violent storm: thunder over the waters, cedars breaking, the wilderness shaking. Then it ends quietly: the Lord blesses His people with peace. The God of the storm is also the God of the calm.

Father, give me strength that doesn't harden me, and peace that doesn't make me passive.
