I don't have to fit the world's mold. God is making me new.

A Bible affirmation for everyday faith, rooted in Romans 12:2.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Romans 12:2 · BSB

Reflection

To be conformed is to be pressed into a pattern. The world will shape you if you let it, through what you watch, want and worry about. Renewal is letting God do the shaping instead.

A prayer

Lord, show me where I've been pressed into the world's mold without noticing. Make me new.
