1 Timothy 6:6-8 | Bible Verse and Affirmation for Provision

Of course, godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, so we cannot carry anything out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these.

1 Timothy 6:6-8 · BSB

Reflection

Paul reminds Timothy that we brought nothing into the world and can carry nothing out. With food and clothing, we can be content. Contentment isn't settling. It's freedom from always needing more.

A prayer

Lord, teach me contentment. Thank You for what I have today.
