Verses for Provision

I'm asking God for enough, not too much and not too little.

A Bible affirmation for provision, rooted in Proverbs 30:8-9.

Keep falsehood and deceitful words far from me. Give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the bread that is my portion. Otherwise, I may have too much and deny You, saying, ‘Who is the LORD?’ Or I may become poor and steal, profaning the name of my God.

Proverbs 30:8-9 · BSB

Reflection

Agur asks for something unusual: neither poverty nor riches, just the bread that is his portion. Too much and he might forget God. Too little and he might be tempted to steal. Enough is a wise thing to pray for.

A prayer

God, give me enough. Keep me from forgetting You in plenty or doubting You in need.
