Verses for Provision

My ability to earn is a gift from God.

A Bible affirmation for provision, rooted in Deuteronomy 8:18.

But remember that it is the LORD your God who gives you the power to gain wealth, in order to confirm His covenant that He swore to your fathers even to this day.

Deuteronomy 8:18 · BSB

Reflection

Moses warned Israel that once they prospered in the new land, they'd be tempted to say my own power got me this. Remember, he said, it is the Lord who gives you the power to gain wealth. Gratitude keeps success humble.

A prayer

God, thank You for the ability to work and earn. Keep me humble and grateful.
