Verses for Self Doubt

My ability comes from God, so I don't have to prove myself.

A Bible affirmation for self doubt, rooted in 2 Corinthians 3:5.

Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim that anything comes from us, but our competence comes from God.

2 Corinthians 3:5 · BSB

Reflection

Paul, one of the most influential people in history, says he isn't competent in himself. His competence comes from God. That isn't low self-esteem. It's freedom from having to be enough on your own.

A prayer

God, I don't feel adequate for this. Be my competence today.
