Verses for Gratitude

Rooted in Christ, I can overflow with thankfulness.

A Bible affirmation for gratitude, rooted in Colossians 2:6-7.

Therefore, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Colossians 2:6-7 · BSB

Reflection

Paul mixes a garden and a building in one sentence: rooted and built up. Roots grow where nobody sees them. Thankfulness is what shows above ground when the roots are healthy.

A prayer

Jesus, root me deeper in You, and let thankfulness overflow from my life.
