Every good thing in my life came from God's hand.

A Bible affirmation for gratitude, rooted in James 1:17.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no change or shifting shadow.

James 1:17 · BSB

Reflection

James wrote to people tempted to think God was behind their temptations. He turns it around: every good gift comes from the Father, who never changes. The good in your life isn't luck. It has an address.

A prayer

Father, thank You for the good things I usually call luck. They came from You.
