God can give me a new heart.

A Bible affirmation for new beginnings, rooted in Ezekiel 36:26.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

Ezekiel 36:26 · BSB

Reflection

God spoke this to a people whose hearts had turned hard as stone after years of turning away. His promise wasn't self-improvement. It was a transplant: a new heart, a new spirit, flesh instead of stone.

A prayer

God, take away what has grown hard in me, and give me a new heart.
