Verses for New Beginnings

God is putting a new song in my mouth.

A Bible affirmation for new beginnings, rooted in Psalm 40:3.

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.

Psalm 40:3 · BSB

Reflection

David opens this psalm by saying he waited patiently, and God lifted him out of a slimy pit and set his feet on a rock. The new song came after the waiting. If you're still in the waiting part, the song is coming.

A prayer

Lord, lift me out of this pit and put a new song in me. I'm waiting for You.
