Verses for Healing from Trauma

What happened to me is part of my story. It isn't all of it.

A Bible affirmation for healing from trauma, rooted in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 · BSB

Reflection

Paul had been beaten and shipwrecked, and he still called God the God of all comfort. Comfort doesn't erase the past. It means you aren't alone in it, and one day it may help you comfort someone else.

A prayer

Lord, comfort me where the past still speaks loudly. Remind me I'm more than what happened.
