Verses for Healing from Trauma

Through the deep waters and the fire, God is with me.

A Bible affirmation for healing from trauma, rooted in Isaiah 43:2.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you go through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched; the flames will not set you ablaze.

Isaiah 43:2 · BSB

Reflection

God doesn't promise His people they'll never go through the waters or the fire. He promises to be with them in it, and that it won't destroy them. You survived things that should have overwhelmed you. He was there.

A prayer

God, You were with me in the waters and the fire. Stay with me as I heal.
