Verses for Breaking Free

I'm a new creation. My past doesn't get to name me.

A Bible affirmation for breaking free, rooted in 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!

2 Corinthians 5:17 · BSB

Reflection

Paul had once hunted Christians, and plenty of people remembered it. In Christ, he writes, the old has passed away. Your struggle is serious, but it isn't who you are.

A prayer

Jesus, You made me new. Help me live like it today, especially in the hard moments.
