Verses for Breaking Free

This habit doesn't get to be my master anymore.

A Bible affirmation for breaking free, rooted in Romans 6:14.

For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.

Romans 6:14 · BSB

Reflection

Paul doesn't promise you'll never be tempted. He says sin will not be your master. You live under grace now, and grace doesn't only forgive the past. It gives you a new Master and new power.

A prayer

Holy Spirit, break the grip of this habit. Remind me who I belong to now.
