Verses for Breaking Free

Christ set me free, and I'm not going back.

A Bible affirmation for breaking free, rooted in Galatians 5:1.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be encumbered once more by a yoke of slavery.

Galatians 5:1 · BSB

Reflection

The Galatians had been set free and were drifting back toward old chains. Paul's word is stand firm. Freedom has to be kept. It means saying no to the familiar yoke, again and again.

A prayer

Lord, help me stand firm today. Don't let me slide back into what used to hold me.
