Verses for Confidence

Fear didn't come from God. Power, love and a sound mind did.

A Bible affirmation for confidence, rooted in 2 Timothy 1:7.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

2 Timothy 1:7 · BSB

Reflection

Paul wrote this to Timothy, a young leader, from a Roman prison near the end of his life. Among his mentor's last words was this reminder: the Spirit you received doesn't make you timid.

A prayer

Holy Spirit, where fear has been calling the shots, give me power, love and self-control.
