Verses for After a Failure

Yesterday's mistake doesn't use up today's mercy.

A Bible affirmation for after a failure, rooted in Lamentations 3:22-23.

Because of the loving devotion of the LORD we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!

Lamentations 3:22-23 · BSB

Reflection

Mercy that is new every morning means you don't start today in debt. A mistake may need an apology or repair, but it doesn't cancel God's faithfulness. Morning came, and so did mercy.

A prayer

Lord, give me courage to make things right where I can, and to receive Your mercy where I can't.
