Verses for After a Failure

After a night of nothing, one more try with Jesus can change everything.

A Bible affirmation for after a failure, rooted in Luke 5:5-6.

“Master,” Simon replied, “we have worked hard all night without catching anything. But because You say so, I will let down the nets.” When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to tear.

Luke 5:5-6 · BSB

Reflection

Peter was an experienced fisherman who had caught nothing all night. Jesus told him to try again. Tired and skeptical, he said because You say so, and the nets began to tear. One obedient try after failure can be the turning point.

A prayer

Lord, I'm tired of trying with nothing to show for it. Because You say so, I'll try again.
