Verses for Rest and Self Care

Even Jesus pulled His friends away to rest. I can rest too.

A Bible affirmation for rest and self care, rooted in Mark 6:31.

And He said to them, “Come with Me privately to a solitary place, and let us rest for a while.” For many people were coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.

Mark 6:31 · BSB

Reflection

The disciples had just come back from their first big mission, and the crowds were so thick they couldn't even eat. Jesus' answer wasn't more work. It was a quiet place. Rest was His idea.

A prayer

Jesus, take me somewhere quiet with You today, even if it's only ten minutes in the car.
