Verses for a Heavy Mind

Not every thought gets a vote. I can take it captive.

A Bible affirmation for a heavy mind, rooted in 2 Corinthians 10:5.

We demolish arguments and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God; and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

2 Corinthians 10:5 · BSB

Reflection

Paul uses military language: demolish, take captive. Some thoughts aren't neutral. They argue against what God says about you. You don't have to entertain them. You can arrest them and hand them to Christ.

A prayer

Jesus, I'm handing You the thoughts that keep accusing me. Replace them with what's true.
