Verses for a Heavy Mind

My hope has a source, and it isn't my own optimism.

A Bible affirmation for a heavy mind, rooted in Romans 15:13.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13 · BSB

Reflection

Positive thinking runs out. Paul points to a different supply: the God of hope, who fills you as you trust Him. You don't have to produce the hope. You get to receive it.

A prayer

Holy Spirit, when my own positivity runs dry, let Your hope overflow in me.
