Verses for Boundaries

I wasn't meant to carry everything alone. It's okay to share the load.

A Bible affirmation for boundaries, rooted in Exodus 18:17-18.

But Moses’ father-in-law said to him, “What you are doing is not good. Surely you and these people with you will wear yourselves out, because the task is too heavy for you. You cannot handle it alone.

Reflection

Moses was settling every dispute for the whole nation from morning to evening. His father-in-law told him plainly: this is not good, you will wear yourself out. Then he helped him delegate. Asking for help is wisdom, not weakness.

A prayer

God, show me what I can hand to others, and help me let go of doing it all.
