Verses for Boundaries

My yes means yes, and my no means no.

A Bible affirmation for boundaries, rooted in Matthew 5:37.

Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ Anything more comes from the evil one.

Matthew 5:37 · BSB

Reflection

Jesus was talking about people who used elaborate oaths to sound trustworthy. He said keep it simple. A clear no doesn't need a long explanation or an apology. It just needs to be honest.

A prayer

Jesus, help me say what I mean, without over-explaining or apologizing for it.
