Verses for Boundaries

I'm responsible for my own load, not everyone else's.

A Bible affirmation for boundaries, rooted in Galatians 6:4-5.

Each one should test his own work. Then he will have reason to boast in himself alone, and not in someone else. For each one should carry his own load.

Galatians 6:4-5 · BSB

Reflection

Just before this, Paul told the Galatians to carry each other's burdens. Then he adds: each one should carry his own load. Both are true. Helping someone isn't the same as taking over their responsibilities.

A prayer

God, help me tell the difference between helping someone and carrying what's theirs to carry.
