Verses for Being Present

A good meal and good work today are gifts from God.

A Bible affirmation for being present, rooted in Ecclesiastes 3:12-13.

I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and do good while they live, and also that every man should eat and drink and find satisfaction in all his labor - this is the gift of God.

Reflection

The Teacher spent a whole book chasing meaning. One of his conclusions: rejoice, do good, eat, drink and find satisfaction in your work. Simple pleasures aren't distractions from God. They're gifts from Him.

A prayer

God, thank You for simple gifts today. Help me enjoy them without guilt.
