This ordinary day is a gift. I don't want to rush past it.

A Bible affirmation for being present, rooted in Psalm 118:24.

This is the day that the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 118:24 · BSB

Reflection

It's easy to treat today as a waiting room for the weekend, the vacation, the next milestone. The psalm says this day, this one, was made by God. That's reason enough to pay attention to it.

A prayer

God, slow me down. Help me notice what You've put in front of me today.
