My life is short. That's a reason to live this day fully.

A Bible affirmation for being present, rooted in James 4:14.

You do not even know what will happen tomorrow! What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

James 4:14 · BSB

Reflection

James is talking to people making confident plans: we'll go here, do business, make money. He isn't against planning. He just reminds them that life is a mist. Hold your plans loosely and today closely.

A prayer

God, I'm holding my plans with an open hand. Help me love well in the time I have.
