Verses for Letting Go

I'm releasing what's behind me so I can see what God is doing next.

A Bible affirmation for letting go, rooted in Isaiah 43:18-19.

Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old. Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert.

Isaiah 43:18-19 · BSB

Reflection

God tells His people to stop calling the former things to mind, because He is about to do something new. You can't see the new path while staring at the old one. Letting go makes room to notice.

A prayer

Lord, help me release former things without denying them. Open my eyes to what's next.
