Verses for Letting Go

Not my will, but Yours be done.

A Bible affirmation for letting go, rooted in Luke 22:42.

“Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.”

Luke 22:42 · BSB

Reflection

In Gethsemane, Jesus asked if there was any other way, and then surrendered: not My will, but Yours. Letting go isn't pretending you have no preferences. It's telling God honestly, then trusting Him with the outcome.

A prayer

Father, here's what I want. But not my will. Yours be done.
