Verses for Letting Go

Jesus is gentle with me. I can learn His pace.

A Bible affirmation for letting go, rooted in Matthew 11:29.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Matthew 11:29 · BSB

Reflection

A yoke joined two animals to share a load. Jesus doesn't say take no yoke. He says take Mine, and learn from Me. Letting go isn't collapse. It's trading self-reliance for a shared load with a gentle partner.

A prayer

Jesus, teach me Your gentle way. I'm trading my striving for Your rest.
