Verses for Grief

Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Death isn't the end.

A Bible affirmation for grief, rooted in John 11:25-26.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live, even though he dies. And everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”

John 11:25-26 · BSB

Reflection

Jesus said this to Martha, whose brother Lazarus had been dead four days. She was grieving and disappointed that He came late. He didn't give her a lecture. He gave her Himself: I am the resurrection and the life.

A prayer

Jesus, I believe You are the resurrection and the life. Help me hold on to that in my grief.
