Verses for Grief

My tears are seen, and comfort is promised.

A Bible affirmation for grief, rooted in Matthew 5:4.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Matthew 5:4 · BSB

Reflection

Of all the people Jesus could call blessed, He named those who mourn. Grief isn't a lack of faith. It's love that has lost something, and Jesus promises those who grieve will be comforted.

A prayer

Lord, hold me in this grief. Let Your comfort reach places words can't.
