Verses for Mental Health

When my heart is faint, God can lead me to higher ground.

A Bible affirmation for mental health, rooted in Psalm 61:1-2.

For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments. Of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call out to You whenever my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Psalm 61:1-2 · BSB

Reflection

David calls out from the ends of the earth, his heart faint. He doesn't ask to become the rock. He asks to be led to the rock that is higher than he is. You don't have to be your own solid ground.

A prayer

God, my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I am.
