Verses for Hard Times

This trouble is real, but it isn't forever.

A Bible affirmation for hard times, rooted in 2 Corinthians 4:17.

For our light and momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory that is far beyond comparison.

2 Corinthians 4:17 · BSB

Reflection

Paul calls his sufferings light and momentary, and this from a man who had been beaten, shipwrecked and imprisoned. He isn't minimizing them. He's weighing them against an eternal glory that outweighs everything.

A prayer

God, help me see this hard season next to what You're preparing. Keep my heart faithful in it.
