Jesus has overcome the world, so I can take heart.

A Bible affirmation for hard times, rooted in John 16:33.

I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!

John 16:33 · BSB

Reflection

Jesus never promised His friends an easy life. He said plainly that in the world they would have tribulation. Then He added: take courage, I have overcome the world. Peace in Him doesn't wait for trouble to end.

A prayer

Jesus, give me Your peace in the middle of this. Help me take courage.
