Verses for Hard Times

What was meant to harm me, God can use for good.

A Bible affirmation for hard times, rooted in Genesis 50:20.

As for you, what you intended against me for evil, God intended for good, in order to accomplish a day like this - to preserve the lives of many people.

Genesis 50:20 · BSB

Reflection

Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery. Years later he stood before them as second in command of Egypt, having saved countless lives in a famine. You intended it for evil, he said, but God intended it for good.

A prayer

God, take what was meant to harm me and turn it to good. I trust You with my story.
