Verses for Joy

No one can take away the joy Jesus gives me.

A Bible affirmation for joy, rooted in John 16:22.

So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

John 16:22 · BSB

Reflection

Jesus said this to disciples about to watch Him die. Their sorrow would be real, but it would turn to joy when they saw Him again, and no one could take that joy away. Joy rooted in the risen Jesus is hard to lose.

A prayer

Jesus, give me the joy no one can take away. Let it outlast every sorrow.
