God's joy in my heart is better than anything money can buy.

A Bible affirmation for joy, rooted in Psalm 4:7.

You have filled my heart with more joy than when grain and new wine abound.

Psalm 4:7 · BSB

Reflection

Harvest was the happiest time of year in Israel, with full barns and new wine. David says the joy God gives him is greater than that. It's a joy that doesn't depend on how good the year has been.

A prayer

Lord, fill my heart with Your joy, the kind that doesn't depend on a good year.
