I can rejoice in the Lord today, even if today isn't perfect.

A Bible affirmation for joy, rooted in Philippians 4:4.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Philippians 4:4 · BSB

Reflection

Paul says rejoice twice, as if he expected his readers to push back. He wrote it from prison. Joy in the Lord doesn't depend on circumstances lining up. It depends on Who you belong to.

A prayer

Lord, I choose to rejoice in You today. Lift my heart above what's going wrong.
